Marsudi Raras performs gamelan music from central Java in the style of the keraton Surakarta. Rehearsals are in the Museum of Ethnography Nusantara in Delft, the Netherlands, Saturdays from 11:00 to 13:30, with sometimes kelas kambing from 10:00. We play the more than 100 year old gamelan Kyahi Paridjata, outside performances are given on a smaller slendro gamelan Kyahi Hamongkarsa.
On this web site we have collected some of our recordings, both audio and video, a selection of the scores, and samples and photos of the gamelan Kyahi Paridjata.
